March for Miracles Events
On Saturday, August 13, 2005, the third annual March for Miracles was held at the beautiful and scenic Chicago Botanic Gardens.
The event began at 7:30 AM, and the though the weather was overcast, the rain held off with only a drizzle now and again. But that did not keep anyone away. After registration, walkers picked up a ‘March for Miracles” T-shirt, grabbed a bagel or apple, and something to drink, and shared their stories before heading off to the fabulous gardens.
Following the walk, there was a silent auction with many items to appeal to everyone, adults and kids alike. There were temporary tattoos and face painting for the kids. Quilt squares and fabric markers were available for those who wanted to draw a square in honor or memory of someone struck with ARDS.
Items were auctioned off and silent auction winners were revealed. And then it was time to leave to prepare for the ARDS Foundation’s first Mini-Conference.
