Plants from near the equator respond to very small changes in daylength, which is why some start flowering outdoors in late July while others wait until September. That sensitivity varies by origin latitude more than by breeder claims. Flowering trigger behaviour for different sativa populations is explained at https://hazesativaseeds.com with regional notes. A plant that begins too early in a northern summer can end up revegging when days lengthen again.
