PDK started slipping in third and now I’m terrified to even ask what a new mechatronic unit costs

My 2011 Cayman S has been absolutely bulletproof for the three years I’ve owned it out here but last week while merging onto the E311 from Sharjah the transmission did this weird flare between third and fourth gear where the revs just shot up like it was in neutral for a split second before clunking into gear, and ever since then I’ve been hyper aware of every single shift and it’s definitely not right especially when the car is fully warmed up and I’m just cruising in normal mode. I had the PDK fluid and filter done about twenty thousand kilometers ago at a well known Porsche specialist in Dubai but they’re booked solid for weeks and honestly their quote just to plug in the PIWIS and read the clutch adaptation values was enough to make me choke on my karak. The car drives fine if I use the paddles and keep the revs up but I know deep down that ignoring a slipping PDK is just a countdown to a full gearbox failure and then I’m looking at a repair bill that’s probably more than what the entire car is worth on the current market. I was searching around for any independent shops in the northern emirates that actually understand these Getrag units and came across https://gearboxrepairsharjah.ae/brands/porsche/ which seems to specialize in this stuff but I’ve been burned before by places that claim to be experts just because they have a fancy website and a scanner tool. Has anyone here had a PDK issue on a 987 or 981 fixed somewhere in Sharjah that didn’t involve selling an organ or taking out a second loan, because I really don’t want to park my weekend toy until winter while I save up for a repair that might not even be as bad as the warning signs are making it seem.
