The factory reset of Chromecast can be done in three ways: in your mobile device, with the help of the Google Home app, access the Chromecast settings and press the hardware reset button; press the button on the device itself, wait until it flashes, and use the on-screen resolution to select Reset; and, with a device that has Google TV, use the on-screen settings and select Reset. Both processes are deleting any settings that were saved and restoring the device to setup mode.
